Abstract

The main purpose of production planning is scheduling the ore and waste exploitation in a certain period of time so it satisfies the goals and limitations such as maximum profit and grade control simultaneously. Although there are various methods presented for mines production planning, but many of them loose their applicability when there are special restrictions. In this research, linear programming and dynamic programming are used in situations where there is an ore impurities limitation. Utilizing these algorithms to Yazd Esfordi Phosphate Mine, which faces the limitation of maximum chlorine amount, indicates acceptable results from the first method to achieve profit maximization goals and respect the amount of chlorine and shows its superiority in this case.
